    Save to hard drive?

Example: If on a CD ROM there is a section that allows the visitor to draw
pictures, is the any script that allows them to SAVE the picture they have
draw to their hard drive? as any type file

I would be very grateful for any replies on ways this could be done.

    Cheers
    Will

if it don't come with its own save feature I doubt there is anything that can do it.

the enarest you could get was taking a screen shot of it, either full screen and crop it or just target the picture itself.

It is possible to save files to the hard drive of the user, but only when the standalone player is used (so NOT when the flash is played through the browser). I'm also not sure if this works for MAC...

it can be done using FSCommand (file, write)

    more info and examples on:

    hope this helps.

Oops, I missed the picture part...how are the pictures drawn? if the pictures only consists of pixels with a certain color value, you'll need to save the picture info (x,y coordinats and color values) into variables, or arrays, and then save this arrays to e.g. a text file. when the file is loaded, you'll need to write some code that reproduces the picture when the saved file is read.
