    Anchors: can they work horizontally?

I want to make a website with a long horizontally scrolling page in a frameset. (Now don't go quoting Nielsen on me, this is for my personal portfolio so PUH )

Anyway, what I wish to do is make a little menu image at the far left, that can take you to other info much further to the right in this 'panoramic page'.

I tried a few things with named anchors, but that didn't work for some reason. What would be the best way to do this? (If there is one?) Thanks in advance.

You could do scrollTo(x, y); instead.

I would have to say that using javascript is your only choice. Anarchos actually had a better suggestion then mine so I will leave it at that haha
