loading times?

Hello!

How can i find out how long it takes to load my website on a 56k modem?
Cause im sitting on cable and the page is loaded super fast, but im not sure about the hidden preloader, meaning that i would like to know if it slows loading down a lot on a 56k modem, and maybe i could optimize my images (in case it loads slow).
If anybody who happens to read this is using a 56k modem, i would apreciate if you could tell me how fast (or slow) the page loaded.

If you have a program like Frontpage or Dreamweaver it usually tells you. Photoshop also tells you how long an image would take to load. To keep in a general tone, keep all files under 80 kb (might be 60). The smaller it is the better loading time. I know there is a formula but can't remember where it is.....
