Build an xml-Based Content Man't System with PHP search failed
The old thread is 49 months old so I started a newbie.
My (rented) server's version of PHP is 4.3.6 and the XML stuff found in phpinfo is:
DOM/XML API Version 20020815
libxml Version 20609
HTML Support enabled
XPath Support enabled
XPointer Support enabled
libxslt Version 1.1.6
libxslt compiled against libxml Version 2.6.9
libexslt Version 1.1.6
So everything appears to be in order but uploading Tom's files to see how it all worked resulted in no xml files displayed on index.php (despite plenty being of LIVE status ... even created/edited 6 newbies to be sure) and the search function returns a blank page, not even the "Sorry, no articles matched your search term" message.
The create new xml files, edit, etc all work fine, just the content of this CMS refuses to display.
Another odd thing is that the "You don't have privileges to see the admin page." message appears on the login.php page below the login form.
I'm no coder but quite resourceful and usually can get things working enough to modify them to help me understand the workings.
Anyone got any clues on why the search function fails?>
