I tried it and it does save some time (even if you know CSS well). It would be great if it had support for often used techniques like making columns stretch to the same height as other columns in the same row. (tables anyone?)

I don't really see myself as using this, I much prefer to build my css files from the ground
maybe if it was free and allowed me to skip going through old sites to find solutions I've had to work out before

The very idea bothers me.
The whole point of using CSS is to separate and streamline. It seems a framework detracts from that goal, adds bulk, and slows things down.
As for code reuse, I have a baseline "blank" stylesheet (well, a few actually) that I open up and work with when I'm starting a new page. Makes the framework seem a bit... redundant.

I already have my own css/xhtml framework that I developed a long time ago with no browser bugs.
Think I'll keep using that

Looks like this whole thing sort of went:
Day 1: Blueprint's out.
Day 2: What's that?
Day 3: A Framework for CSS
Day 4: F-f-f-framework? Like Mootools? Scriptaculous? etc? fbut for CSS? *wets pants*
Day 5: Oh wait... this Blueprint is stuff we already do...
Day 6: Know anyone using Blueprint?
Day 7: Hey look... Apple's brought out a new iMac.
All that grid goodness makes me want to at least give it a try on my next project. Thanks for posting the link V.
I actually like the framework. I've actually used it on each project I've worked on since when it was posted. So around 4-5..30?
I found it saved time, and like the typography and grid. I'm a fan of the modular CSS, just because I think it's more elegant than one stuffed stylesheet.
I wasn't aware of the updates, I'll have to keep on eye on that.
classitis anyone?
CSS is not comparable with PHP and other web technologies. CSS should be simple and short, straight out of the box. A skilled interface designer can look at a print screen of a page design and turn it into semantic markup and simple, short CSS in no time without redundancy and selectoritis. All advanced challenges in this area has been charged before and are well documented. For IE bugs, there are several really good resources.
To have a general "framework", a huge CSS file, is just evil.

I just released a new Wordpress theme that is based on Blueprint:
I've had a great experience with Blueprint so far. Needs a little tweaking, but for a pre-1.0 release I think it is great!
Sure, you can reinvent the box each time you write a site, but honestly, I'm tired of it.

Any chance you can put that link in your signature for greater exposure (not everyone will read this thread, but they will read threads you contribute to) and to keep the people with the green and blue badges away?

Even if a CSS framework is used, the problem with classitis is still there. Structure rules presentation, not the other way around.
EDIT: removed some lines after edit of #70.

Unfortunately, I can't since I never got around to bookmarking it. However, this is what a Google search turned up:

Well it can be useful for some beginners but I can't imagine using a framework for CSS! I have my own CSS library and it is all I need right now![]()
