    printfriendly html

    Hi,

i have a question regarding how to make a html-page printfriendly.
Suppose you use tables to show information and date in a structured way. To provide a printfriendly version of this page i want to be certain that the whole tekst is printed, and that certain words are not cut of the edge of the page or something like that...

Now, i have a few options in mind but never tried them before so is ask to you wether these options are appropiate, if not, what i should do...

    * the first option is instead of using tables, using css to replace them. Would that be printer-friendly ?
    * second options is to wrap everything without tables... however, i lose all formatting wich in some cases would be a BIG negative.

    Any help is VERY welcome...

CSS would be the recommended way. Take a look at using the "@media print" media type:

You can design your page one way for the screen with one set of styles, then another TOTALLY different set of styles if someone prints out your page.
