    PHP pages not loading correctly after upgrade to 5.2.2

    I have a dating site:

    http://www.powwows.com/esnag/

    The people that made the software Web4Future has responded to an email or ticket in months. And while I'm looking for a new script. I need help.

    I upgraded PHP to 5.2.2. I was running on 4.3.

    Now when you load the page, the index.php page loads fine, but anything you click on just re-loads the index.php page. The address bar changes but the same content loads.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Register globals. Either turn it on (ouch) or edit the script so it doesn't depend on them (ouch!).

    I'm not much of a PHP coder, can you explain this?

    Thanks

    There are other dating sites available over internet (for free). You can try them too.
    I guess dolphin is one of them.

    I know, but I need to resolve this first.

    So do you think this is just a couple of places in the code? Or is this something that is probably everywhere?

    Uhm, firstly, I checked your site and it works.

    Your best option probably is adding this to the top of your index.php to simulate register_globals:

    Code php:
    extract($_GET,EXTR_SKIP);
    extract($_POST,EXTR_SKIP);
    extract($_COOKIE,EXTR_SKIP);
    extract($_SESSION,EXTR_SKIP);

    The index page loads. But if you click on any links you just get the same page over and over.

    Just tried putting those at the top of the page and got this:
    Warning: extract() [function.extract]: First argument should be an array in index.php on line 6

    ah, sorry about that:
    Code php:
    if(is_array($_GET))extract($_GET,EXTR_SKIP);
    if(is_array($_POST))extract($_POST,EXTR_SKIP);
    if(is_array($_COOKIE))extract($_COOKIE,EXTR_SKIP);
    if(is_array($_SESSION))extract($_SESSION,EXTR_SKIP);

    Thanks! But looks like I'm ok now with the profiles. Still seeing a couple of small errors.
    Code:
    Warning: fopen(photo/allphoto.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\powwows.com\httpdocs\esnag\inc\photogallery.php on line 259
    Cannot open file (photo/allphoto.txt)

    Do I need to turn on something for fopen to work? Or is this a permission problem?

    "Permission denied" qualifies very well for a permission problem, I reckon. Do check them.
