    Yep,

The php Manual is one of the better manuals out there.

That's where I learned. Of course, it helps to have some prior programming experience. I was already experienced with c/c++ before I started.

If you have no prior programming experience then the manual may be alittle too much. I never had any programming experience and the manual intimidated me but maybe am just thick and dumb . However there are plenty of tutorials available online and your first stop for them should be at this thread:

The manual should be your best friend as you learn and ofcourse these great forums. They are my favourite read and classroom.

Thumbs up Nice site for learning PHP

I have been teaching PHP at a local college for several years now as well as teaching the training courses in PHP for the company I work for. I have put up the first few chapters online on my personal web site at: Zorka.com. The tutorial is complete with examples and draws quite abit of traffic for people wanting to learn PHP and MySQL. Althought it isn't the latest material (typos fixed, etc) it is still a very good starter tutorial.

If you would like to join us for our next PHP Training course you can find more information here: Tap Internet, Inc..

The PHP 101 tutorials on www.devshed.com should give you an excellent start, apart from that check out my thread on resources for learning PHP and mySQL (at the top of this forum).
