    ScreenShot of web page

I am looking for a PHP script(s) that can capture a screenshot of a url.

Does anyone know of a service or a class that can handle this?

You would definitely have to use some sort of service, and deal with whatever use restrictions and costs they impose.

The page has to be rendered in a satisfactory fashion first, and the only thing that will do that with modern markup, Javascript generated content, and CSS is a genuine browser engine.

A special print driver or screen buffer would then have to be used, to turn the page render into an image. All specialized software. I don't know of any products or free scripts/software currently being offered that does that.

If someone out there wants to embed the Gekko engine as a PHP extension, I'll be first in line to try it.
