    forum software

One of my colleagues want me to install some forum software on our site. He's thinking of WOWBB.

Anyone have experience with it, opinions abut it?

I can't speak to WOWBB but I do currently run a vBulletin site. I couldn't be happier.

I'd recommend you to wait up for phpBB3 - its well on its way to being the best forum software!

wowbb has been around for many years. Check out their support forums to see what issues people are having.

Another vote for vBulletin here - very good setup. I'm not familiar with wowbb (have not used it myself).

The forummatrix can be useful in choosing a forum.

would have appeared to them to be otherwise."

For the price, extensibility, and ease in use, I think the phpbb (either 2 or 3) is some of the best forum software out there. I run sites that use both vBulletin and phpbb, and I think its easier to maintain my phpbb sites over the vb sites.
