in search of web statistics...

Does anyone know where I could find some basic web usage statistics? Stats like what percentage of people buy products online, average time a visitor spends at a website, etc.

I know that Nielson Netratings has a general service like this, but it's not really website oriented. Any ideas where I could find such a site?

I can't recall any Web sites that have this information but I have a great book that has stuff like the average salary of Americans in Internet jobs, which percentage of people shop online, etc., it's called "Understanding" (but the U, S, and A are highlighted, so the title is technically Understanding USA...).

You can probably find it on Amazon.com, but it's fairly expensive. It is about 150 pages of 8.5x11 paper with colored graphs and diagrams so it's really worth it.
