i need a moderate single webhosting for audio/video hosting...

may be 1-3gb which moderate cost..

so what should be cost..ideal and which is relaible one...

whats about the free service like youtube...
or paid but not for music ..like rapidshare...

what should we do..
and cost

you will need a hosting provider that allow audio video playback + streaming.
I would recommend hostgator and bluehost. Both server are fast. using them now.

Do you have a budget to get VPS? If you don't have one I would recommend you to go with a company that will not impose hidden TOS over the traffic quotas

well thanks for comments..
it is not that a website that will have all media /downloads and all but we have site and we want to introduce some extra featues to site with music and video..
but we think it is not going to be too many ..
but our current host allows us around 300mb of space and 3gb of bandwidth...
and this is not being suffcient so we need to upgrade some what..
after all for now we know there wont be thousand of people coming ..just a instance...
so.well for vpn rather than cost we think for now we dont need that we do have some internal network sort of vpn in our country but that is too expensive thouugh speed is good...
so we are happy with webhost package may be with server not in our country

if you dont want the site to look very professional, rapidshare or youtube will be ok.....but if not, i would say you should go in for a VPS.

It doesn't look like you have very special needs or require much in terms of server resources (CPU and memory) or data transfer and data transfer for that matter. I don't see a need for a VPS. Even a budget host like the ones suggested by charlesgan should fit your needs.

Personally, I have a positive experience with Hostgator, though I didn't use them for a site similar to the one you plan to host.
