    Part of a website

I am currently busy building the layout and design of a travel website and need to figure out the little pieces first before putting it all together, so I just need feedback on an element of the upcoming site.

The element is a "search result list".
For those of you that don't know what pogo sticking is, I will give a brief overview. Pogo sticking (and Im sure there are other names for it) is when people go forwards and backwards between items on a list. Research has found that the more people have to do pogo sticking, the less likely they are to buy. So the goal is to provide sufficient information in a search result so that people can compare items in a meaningful way and make an informed choice.

I made three possible solutions, all three with various elements and used in different combinations. Which option do you think gives you a better overview of the product and gives you the opportunity to do meaningful comparisons? Discuss here or in my comment section of the blog.

I like the use of images in example three, looks more interesting to the eye. However, I would make the detail text "add to wishlist, book ..etc" white as in a previous example.

I prefer the way the text content lines up neatly in the first example compared to the second, and I like the use of what looks to be sub-menus underneath the content in the second example.

    So to summarise,

    Use images,
    Line up the text
    Add the submenu
Keep a high contrasting colour for text on the green background.

That's all I can pretty much say as those are the only elements I see that change. If you want to ask me a specific question go right ahead

    Best,

Thanks armchaircritic. I noticed the same things you did, but I had to make sure I wasn't biased with my opinion.

The only difference is what you saw as the submenu. Before I tell you what they are, tell me what you expect to happen when you click on them.

Well, not a submenu as such- perhaps a list of similar destinations/activities, or is it an indication of what is bundled with the package?

They are tags for the product, so if you click on one of the tags, you would be taken to a listing of products with a similar tag.

Anyone else has an opinion to share? Two free posts still up for grabs.

I removed the page when I changed the content of the site (with the post being almost a year old) and the question no longer relevant. But thanks for checking.
