    Please Help Review My Site!!!

I just recently launched a new business selling loft beds and loft bed plans on the web. The site is located here: http://www.campusloftbeds.com

What sorts of ideas do people have to really increase exposure and visitors.

    Thanks for the help!

One thing I never liked about OsCommerce is the default font-family and font-size and the spacing between lines. font-size can be bigger (1px more ?).

Your box rounded-corners & gradient are nice.

Your menu bar can be of more height - padding-top and padding-bottom to 2px ?

Thanks guys, those are all good suggestions. Funny that 2 comments were for the navigation bar and that one of you picked up I was using OsCommerce.

I am really anxious to start seeing more traffic. I have done everything i know to do, (seo techniques, cpc campaign, registered with a few 100 directories). Can anyone suggest some additional things to do to really drive traffic?

You said you did SEO but I don't see it. Where's your h1 tag? Replicate your main keywords from your page title into that. Drop the meta keywords and add a meta description, again duplicating your keywords in there.

Instead of a span styled bold for headlines use your h2-h6 tags, that's what they are for.

Get rid of the table based layout and clean up your code, that will help as well.

Thanks so much for the reviews.

Site is back up, had to restart my server for a few minutes last night, sorry about that. THANKS for the seo tips DCS, I will look into that stuff. What I meant is I have done lots of things to the stock version of oscommerce that I run... but I can ALWAYS do more!

These are great reviews, keep 'em coming guys!

The design is very clean, I would suggest doing your own CSS, but if you're unable, the current one is fine.

I would recommend a little more information about the company itself. A background history or testimonials would probably benefit the site as well. Finally, I would recommend a different favicon as the one you have kind of blends in with internet explorer.

Otherwise it looks like a nice site and good luck to you.

Yeah, I would add an "About us" section for an e-business like this.

    Good luck with it!

I like it, I think it's simple yet fun.

I wonder if my wife would go for a loft bed?

Nice clear design. It seemed obvious at a glance where everything would take me. Although the number of items listed in the browse box would make me question the breadth of range you're offering.

I'll second everything DCS said about SEO. I would expand on "add a meta description, again duplicating your keywords in there". Use your keywords in title, h1 and description (and url if you can) but do not use exactly the same phrase in all places as it can look too much as if you are targeting that phrase.

Your current keywords presumably show what terms you would like to rank for. In todays competitive web space no one page is going to rank well for all those terms. You need to decide which are most important and craft pages around those terms - articles can be a good way of adding such pages to a site. Note that terms in your metas are of little use in terms of SEO unless backed up by text on the page.

Note that a page description *relevant to a search* may be displayed in the results instead of a snippet from the page and is a rare opportunity to influence how your site is displayed in the results.

Looking at the code, I would think you could reduce the size of the page quite a bit by using CSS rather than tables (and placing all CSS in an external stylesheet rather than placing it inline).
