JS popup menu missaligned - JS vs. CSS issue?
I'm using a popup menu derived from one created with Fireworks. The difference is that I'm not using any graphics for this, I was just using it for the resulting JS produced. The problem is, the main menu used is a horizontal list calling the functions that draw the popup menu (which works) and the resulting popup submenu is drawn about 85 pixels below a given main menu item. I'm using a three column CSS layout that is absolutely positioning the main menu's div. Yet the submenus consistantly show up far below. The offset appears to be as much as the height of the graphic elements located above the menu (also divs that are floated).
Sounds confusing so here's a glimpse:
Has anybody run into something like this?
I've tried setting top and bottom margins on elements, absolute positioning.....same behaviour.
Thanks for any help or insight.
