    Why was my post moved?

    Hello,

I'm (obviously) new here and I'm confused about why my post in the HTML forum was moved. I read through the FAQ's and Forum Guidelines but I didn't see anything that prohibits my posting. Maybe I put it in the wrong forum? Totally possible. But I can't find to where it was moved.

    Help?

    Thanks!

It was moved to the javascript forum. Often times, posts are moved to the forum in which the answer is most often likely to be given.

You will generally find a redirect in the initial location, which you can follow to the new one...

I didn't see a redirect, but I just noticed I can look at the breadcrumb links to find out where to look. Thanks!

    Hi Susan,

I moved your post, since it was a JavaScript question rather than an HTML question. I usually set the redirect to show for 1 day, but it appears that wasn't enough in this case. I'm sorry for the confusion.

Another way to find your posts is to subscribe to your threads. Then when they are updated they will appear in your control panel.

Oh, it's no problem. I'm just pretty unfamiliar with these forums and couldn't see it. I was subscribed to the thread, but after it was moved, it disappeared from my control panel.

I appreciate that you all are conscientious about these forums. It tells me that you care about this community and that people find the help they need. Great job!

And a third way is to click on your username, and then click on "Find More Posts by SusanTWDL" (or from your user profile) and find all the posts you've made.
