background images not displayed in IE7 on laptop - but does on PC

Talk about driving me crazy.... this works on PC IE7 and FF etc but not on 2 new laptops with IE7

site is here - click on the small photo - a pop up appears which displays a larger image

To avoid downloading of images (not perfect I know) there is JS right click and also the image is inserted using a gif 1x1 pixel and the image itself is displayed as a background.. which I feel is the route of the issue

But for some reason it works for my IE7 PC but not for a clients laptop

    Any ideas!

    thanks

It could always be a broken Javascript statement, or the user's security settings (for some reason!?) might be blocking it, somehow.

It works on IE7 for me, so it must be client side settings somewhere..

Might be stating the obvious here but does the client have JavaScript switched off? Alternatively they may have a popup blocker blocking it or some kind of blocker installed other than the usual browser/google toolbar?

If they're both the same browser then I can't see the cause of the problem being solely because they're on a laptop.

It works fine for me but unfortunately I'm on a PC so can't rule out the problem being due to a laptop but the browser should behave the same regardless.

hmm didn't think to ask re JS - but nope all pop up status correct and sorted all permission etc - they then set everything to default! its a hard thing woudl be great if someone using a laptop could confirm as until then I am not 100% sure its not a finger issue

    thanks though!

On a laptop (Dell Inspiron E1705) and tested with IE7 and FireFox. All working as should be. Well appeared to all work.
