    mysql and international charsets

    Hi all.

    I'm trying to build a db that will handle Chinese, Japanese, Korean and English at the same time. I am having some problems tho.

    Currently I'm running mysql compiled with --with-extra-charsets=all, which says it includes all these languages.

    I've tried to store the data in all of the following types of fields:

    varchar() binary
    varchar()
    char binary
    char
    text binary
    text

    None of them seem to work correctly tho. I can seem to store certain Korean and Chinese chars, but not all display correctly. For some I just get a box or question mark showing up. And I've yet to see any Japanese chars show up at all.

    What am I doing wrong here?? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.
