No, they didn't get in touch about that, but that's OK. I talked to Molly and Dave when they published The Zen of CSS Design, in which I found some incorrect information. They were very professional about it, and Dave even told me when the 2nd edition came out that they had fixed all the things I had pointed out.
I've been in touch with Andy before, too, but not recently.

I'm facing a similar question right now. I personally don't think there is any reason to use the vCard approach as no one would benefit from it and I believe the <address> tag is controversial and will probably end his life soon.
I vote for the good old <br>.
