A Good Promotion Idea?

Hello,

I had this idea to promote my site:

My site is aimed at webmasters, so I thought that I could run this little contest.

People come, and they refer my site to their friends, and for every time they refer my site they enter one time.

The prize is up to 25,000 banner impressions.

I think this is a good way to start my site, I good give the prize(s) once I generate a good amout of impressions.

What do you think? Do you think it is a good idea? By the way, I am running this contest right now at http://www.lerca.com

Good idea? Of course!

Matt uses this on his site (or at least he did on webmaster resources) and I don't know and exact amount but I'll bet it brought him a bunch of good traffic.

It's never too late to make up a new promotion idea! I'd say go for it.

I know Matt uses Federico's contest.cgi script. Maybe you should ask Federico if he knows where it is. But, as far as I know, Federico didn't come up with the idea...he just made it better!

Hello,

Well, for the moment, I only have 17 enteries, but I'm going to keep the contest running untill after I do my big advertising campagne (probably in July), then I'll draw the big winner, 25,000 banner impressions. Untill then, I'm think of doing some smaller draws.
