    checking for updated rows??

Is there a query where i can select rows from various tables ordered by when they were last updated/created (whatever comes first) without having a timestamp field in the tables saying when it was created/updated?

If you have an autoincrement field then the record with the highest number in the autoincrement field was the last record created.

There is no way to query the database to see which record was the last record updated (unless you use a timestamp field).

Why can't you use a timestamp field?
