    Colors on your web site

What are the best web colors?

I think that blue is the best one...

Light colorschemes are always good in my opinion When I see a site with a black background I already tend to close the window, don't like dark.

And ofcourse blue is good, it's easy on the eyes and it's a very calm color

Presently I like green. And yes light colours are good. But sometimes I do come across dark sites which are rather easy on the eyes too.

White or transparent, althougb transparent is damn annoying at certain times, especially transparent logos on transparent backgound. The only thing is I haven't found any other contrast I really like.

White background, black text, some color on the layout and links. I find most sites with black backgrounds hard to read, too.

I use white and a light shade of purple. I think it works well.

I like blues also, and use them on most sites where the client does not have a preferance.

When designing a client's site though, I try to match the corporate color scheme or get colors that go with their logo.

I read a stat somewhere saying that blue and yellow are the most common color schemes on the net. Interestingly enough, this question is hard to answer because it's not just as simple as picking colors....colors mean things and knowing the message they convey helps me determine what colors to use.

I went from relaxing blue/violet schemes to a discreet grey... now my homepage is in white, black and bright red. The navigation really stands out, but as the layout is very minimalistic the overall look isn't bad (at least, in my opinion).

Well, i always like the blue/orange(yellow) colour scheme, but I love green grey and white too.

But lately i've been sortof trying to avoid the blue and orange, just because i want a change

I've fallen in love with simple black and white with a splash of lime green lately.

Something about it is just really pleasing to my eye, and it's nice to have a break from all the blue you usually see, not that there's anything wrong with blue.

I love all of my colors differently but equally.

Really, to me, it all depends. Projects are different and require different things.

I think blue is a good color, I've heard it's supposed to be a great business choice because it's calming and makes you look trustworthy But's It's a little overused. Greens and violets seem good too. I personally dislike dark colors, especially when dark font is also used.

Those are my picks too. I like working with greytones, white and black (though I tend to replace it with a dark navy at times).

If I work on a client's project, then I keep my combinations of greys and white, and I match it up with the company's logo, as some mentionned earlier.

It gives a very profesionnal corporate look that never fails.
