    Thumbs up Another Suggestion

A book I'm currently reading on this topic is called "Net Worth" - bought it on Amazon. It's a bit dated, so it does talk about things like paid subscriptions etc. to generate revenue for community sites, but apart from that it has a lot of good info.

I have to toss the web site and my wish list book:
_Design for Community_ by Derek Powazek

His collections of information, interviews of others, and ideas is great.

sites worth looking at of his are:
    Kvetch - http://www.kvetch.com/
    Fray - http://www.fray.com/
    San Fracisco Stories - http://www.sfstories.com/

A wealth of information, resources and excerpts from his book can be found at his site, Design for Community:
