I recently finished this site. It is for my company. There are still sections of the site to be completed, but the most important parts are done. Any comments are welcome and please don't hold anything back. The more honest the critique the better. It will only help me improve the site.

Thanks for taking the time to review my site!

Wow, great site. The design is clean and easy to navigate. Color choices are good, and I knew what the site was about within a few seconds of seeing it.

I would like to see the Event packages and Corporate services pages expanded upon a little. They seem lacking in content. Maybe just an image on the page to extend the height down a bit, so it seems like a page, right now I am getting only a horizontal sliver of information.

I am viewing on OSX, Firefox 2.0.0.4 and nothing is breaking.

The Flash animation catches my attention, and I like clicking through the different events, and the transition between them is good. Having the phone number next to the logo is a good touch, it says "We are accessible."

    Great site!

Took a long time to load...maybe it was just me. Now the site has completely loaded...whoaa..that's a very professional design I wonder why you even want it reviewed as people will find it a bit difficult to suggest any changes....

Great looking design. I like the header and the slideshow. When it comes to the side columns... maybe a little too much graphics... It kind of takes away the focus from the content. It is hard to focus on the message. I would try a brighter background color and less graphics.

    great

Stellar site. One comment for the home page is to make the small center boxes scale together, so that if one box has more text, it does not make one box bigger than that other, messing up the alignments.

Capital "P" on "Forgot password" since the rest of the words up top have capitalized first letters.

I think the highlighted roll over link on the About Us page looks strange. It looks good on the terms & conditions and privacy policy page without any active page highlighting in the navigation. Does that make sense?

Maybe make the shopping cart image into a link to view the cart contents, even if empty.

    Excellent programming!!! Great site!

Great logo. Very professional and smooth looking.

If it were my site I would change the red search box to be a lighter blue or maybe a green. I think the red and blue combo is overused lately.

Also, I would make the middle tables expand down to the bottom of the main table. It would look better to have empty blue space than empty white space. Looks uneven down there.

Lastly, I would find something to put in the left menu under "Recently Viewed Events". The empty gray space isn't the best. I would put some small text there of some sort. I don't know what text specifically, maybe latest news or something.

Otherwise for the most part very nice looking.

Overall, nice design. There are a few things that I would suggest, but mainly what others have already. Evening out the Top 5 boxes on the main page will help a lot. Right now it looks a little "messy". I am not fond of the large white space below these boxes either. It almost feels as if it is incomplete.

Another suggestion is more content on the Event Packages and Corporate Services pages. Some eye candy would be good too, maybe just one image.

    Other than that, great job!

Very clean professional design. For the section on the main page with the top 5 concerts, sporting events etc I'd maybe make the two more popular sections listing the top 10 to fill up some of that white space.
    anyone seen my website link?

Clean and cool - I love it - may I ask what you use for the featured photos ? It´s obviously Flash, but is this a script or did you create it yourself ?

Nice professional looking design. I'll just add my vote to sorting out some sort of alignment of the boxes in the lower half of the page.

I do at times wonder whether I should be going into technical issues as most others seem to comment only on graphical design but I am firm believer that design is about overcoming inherent restraints to solve some problem and for web design that includes more than just graphics.

Clearly this is a commercial site. Presumably you are interested in search engine rankings. Your top level pages all contain the same description, while this may be how you want to be seen there are three issues with this.
    • Firstly, description can have an effect on rankings (if small) and your top level pages are not all focused on the same key phrases so why should they have the same description? <Edit>Should also point out that to have any effect on rankings the description has to be backed up by the on page content.
    • Secondly, certainly in Google, I've only seen the description show up in the results when it was relevant to the search and, again, the different pages should be showing up on different searches and hence the description will not be relevant and will not show up.
    • Thirdly, if the description is deemed a sufficiently good match to the query and is displayed on the results page you want it to be a good call to action to click through to your page and this, again, is going to be best achieved by tailoring it to likely searches for which that page should show up.
Still on SEO, there is very little content on your "Event Packages" or "Corporate Services" pages for the search engines to get their teeth into.

Yet, still on SEO, I believe that your clever AJAX search is shutting the search engines out from most of your content. All the search engines will see is <a href='#' .... I say "I believe" because a search on Google does indeed show a great number of indexed pages however clicking on a few gives me your 404 page. I am assuming that these pages were indexed from a previous incarnation of the site.

Your 404 page looks better than the standard one and returns the correct status but is no more helpful in terms of keeping people on the site.

It is sufficiently uncommon that it surprises me to see a canonical name redirect at all so congrats on that, however it should be returning a status of 301 - moved permanently not 302 - move temporarily. Do some searches to see the havoc this has the potential to cause to SE listings. While it is not quite the same issue a search "302 hijack" might help you to understand where the issue lies. (although of course this is not much of an issue while you are excluding most of your content from the search engines yourself).

Definitely took a bit to load.

Visually the one thing that bothers me is the blue tabs at the top. Seems like a sort of dated design convention that people are seemingly avoiding these days. Sort of late-90s stylistically. Not that you can use tabs anymore, just that these in particular look dated.

It was pretty slow loading for me, as its clearly heavily weighted on images. However, the actual design was stunning for me. It manages to be very graphic-based without being in your face, its somehow subtle despite its detail. The logo works perfectly in the header, just sitting their nicely, not being too overwhelming. My one critique would be that your eye doesn't really know where to go until the main center image loads, the use of blue could be offset with complimentary colours maybe?

    Lightbulb

Very nice site. One thing I noticed was if you are viewing the tickets page the color of the navi tab is light blue then when you mouse over a different tab it turns the same color light blue... ??? Whats up with that?? Maybe make the navi tab you are on the red you use and mouse over the light blue!!!

Thanks for your comments, the SEO comments were especially helpful, thank you for that. As for the loading time, it's kind of surprising how much RAM websites and other software can take up. We are into the swap, so we will put more RAM in the server and it should be faster.

    Thanks again for your comments!

The design looks like something for a sports/ticket/event site. Whoa, it is. Right on!

    Good job.

    Nice site - very impressive
These items have been mentioned before but are repeated for emphasis
    - Left side looks empty - needs more content
    - bottom columns - white space - make columns even to remove white space
    otherwise excellent
    hope this helps

excellent site & layout - just minor changes
    lft side still empty
    bottom still uneven
can you delay the flash until the site is loaded - I know it can be done but I don't know how - it will improve performance greatly - faster loading - then flash can be used - will help as all do not have cable, some still have dialup.
    hope this helps
