Error after combining html with php

I have combined html to a php file and got this error.
Can someone tell me what this means? How to remedy this? Thanks.

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/public_html/Newfile.php:9) in /home/public_html/Newfile.php on line 14

    headers

headers have to be sent before anything is output to the screen. Any output at all, mark-up or even white-space, will send headers so that when the code trys to send headers (in this case sessions) you will get the "already sent" error. Make sure your sessions() is the first thing in your code.
