    Question Filesize of mysql increased

    I've made some changes to my db-structure everthing works fine but the filesize hase gone way up from 10MB to almost a 100MB!!!

    Has anyone has an idea how this is possible??

    you could try optimizing your tables. but it sounds to me like you're using innodb tables and it added a couple segments. this is normal.

    Unhappy No Luck

    I've tried to optimize the tables but still the database size didn't get any smaller anyone any other suggestions?

    it sounds to me like you're using innodb tables and it added a couple segments. this is normal.

    True but this big?

    It's true that im using a innodb database but the database has doubled/tripled in filesize and keep on getting bigger is this normal aswell?

    are you just looking at the overall size of your data directory? if so, you probably have binary logging turned on. if you're not using your binary logs, you should turn them off, or get in the habit of using the RESET or PURGE MASTER LOGS statements to manage your logs.
