Finding all domain names hosted on an IP address
How do you find all domain names hosted on an IP address? Please note that I'm not looking for information regarding a specific IP adddress I simply want to know how it's done.
Do you have to check the IP address of each and every registered domain name or is there some easier way?

This is called reverse IP.
I usually use the one at http://www.seologs.com/ip-domains.html
There are others available though as well.

seologs.com is very incomplete for my server. MSN also has this feature in its search bar but I cannot recall the prefix required. webhosting.info can also reverse lookup.
I believe for MSN & webhosting.info that it is not "real time" but they are looking up a in a database that they build/maintain for other purposes and this is just a by-product. IE: MSN would have the IP of all sites in their search database & Webhosting.info belongs to registrar Directi.

It only shows the IP address of the host where the website is hosted, it doesn't show the IP address of the actual website owner.

I don't know. You could always e-mail him and ask.
