Question Selenium IDE Source Format for Simpletest?

I've been Googling around looking for a format source for Selenium's IDE so I can speed up test case generation and export my recorded tests as a Simpletest unit test case.

Anyone know where I might locate a format source for this? Or am I forced the modify the PHP Unit one... ?

extensions to the simple test to use selenium as browser base functional test

    example
    http://trac.pradosoft.com/prado/brow...onTestCase.php

    code
    http://trac.pradosoft.com/prado/brow...sts/test_tools

it basically allows you to write the test code in php and it outputs the equivalent html test code used by selenium. It is unlike the PHPUnit's version which is a driver version that requires the java proxy server.

You might want to check TestGen4Web if you haven't already. As with Selenium, its recorder is a Firefox extension. A recorded session can be translated to a SimpleTest WebTestCase. Harry Fuecks posted some notes about it a (long) while back.

After playing with TestGen4Web for a bit, while I think it's cleaner the way it creates XML tests which can be translated into the appropriate language to run your tests, the IDE comes up a bit short compared with Selenium so I think I'll work on producing a source format for the Selenium IDE to help streamline webtest creation.
