    IE onclick issues

    Hi all,

    I'm writing, or trying to write, some unobtrusive ajax to pic up the value of a clicked select/option. The code i've written works fine on FF and Opera, however the big E refuses to play ball.

    The problem seems to be occuring around the following line

    Code:
    sectorLinks[i].onclick = function() {
    Is there anyother way of getting IE to play nice?

    TIA

    Chris

    I don't see any reason why this should "not" work.

    I've only come across small problems when trying to pass i across to be used when the event is called, and even that is easy to sort out.

    IE doesn't support any mouse or key events on <option> elements. Use the onchange event of the <select> element instead.

    Code for Firefox, Chrome, Safari, & Opera, then add fixes for IE, not vice versa.
