    framework or own code?

    Hello,
Iam planning to build a good 2.0 web application with minimal modules but each module should be feature rich.

so i would like to use AJAX to spice up my site.
(i will be using php and mysql for it)

so please suggest me, should i hand code everything or should i use an AJAX framework?

if so which is good ajax framework and why?

    all replies are appreciated.

    thanks in advance.

I would use an existing framework like jQuery, Prototype or Mootools.
You don't have to re-invent the wheel again...

The three frameworks already have an animation library in it, so you can make some nice effects when updating a page with Ajax etc.
jQuery is the easiest the learn.

i wanted to use prototype but 2 people suggested me jquery including you.

may be i go with them because they have good tutorials and example

actually i wanted to use prototype or JSON because wordpress uses them for "widgets" drag and drop method.
i like that, thats why i wanted to use prototype or JSON but may go wtih jquery now
