    My bug or this grape?

    Hi guys,

As you may have noticed I've changed my avatar from a glowing bug to this green ball (a grape, honest).

A poll is being conducted to get SPF members views on my new avatar or should I switch back to the old glowing bug.

I like the bug. It blinks, and usually I do not care for blinking avatars, but the bug has a nice slow pace blink. And I identify you form the earlier times with the bug.

Your grape is beautiful, and btw, while you were gone I used a huge golden ball as my avatar. So I like a large ball. But spence is a bug.

We'll see what other members have to say before I decide.

I would like to keep the grape, maybe make it glow at some point, but we'll see.

    thankx for voting.

Personally I think grape, just because it is simple, and is less distracting.

    The bowling ball.

I do not relate members to their avatars; it's like an outfit that can change. Changes are good.

Certain members... like say Datura or Stymiee or HAWK... can get away with doing that because they're so active I know their name, and I know when it's them, no matter what.

Most of the others, to tell you the honest truth, I don't bother to read your names. Most of the others I just associate by your avatar.

Basically the thought-process in my head goes... "Okay the guitar dude said this, then the bug fella replied and insulted him, then the guitar dude said something else, Oh there's HAWK and she said so and so, and the guitar dude replied... etc etc etc..."

If you change your bug you'll no longer be "the bug fella", you dig??

As one who knows the history to the bugs, I'd prefer to see the bug stay.

Green spherical object, because I don't like bugs, regardless of the history of that particular bug.

Glowing bugs are cool, and green grapes stink (purple are better!) so I vote for the bug. Sounds cute, though i've never seen it.

wow...still neck and neck with the poll. This is going to be a very hard choice to make, but it's still early days yet. Got another 6 days to go before a final decision is made.

Thankx for voting and keep them coming.

Well, I was relating you with the bug, it's different from other bugs that are in use in other avatars. The green ball is nice too, but then, there's nothing extra ordinary here, many people can have a similar ball.

But if you like grapes, why don't you try with a nice grape as your avatar, that will be unique. Something like this may be.

The whole grape thing is from a very old children's program from the eighties called Cracker Jack. You may have not heard this program since it was (at a guess) shown in the UK only. One of the punch lines the presenter said was "Ooo...I could crush a grape!"

Hence the grape, etc... I'm just reliving my childhood memories.

    Nice pic of the grapes.

Personally I think it looks like an olive. A shiny, metalic, green olive; not yet pitted.
