    I'd say it's not very accessible. Try disabling images in a CSS-enabled browser and you'll see what I mean. The entire top row becomes invisible, since the 'tabs' seem to be made up by images without text equivalent (or use a bad image replacement technique; I didn't look).

    It also has usability issues. There is no visual feedback for keyboard focus, apart from the barely perceptible default browser outline. It even manages to muck up spatial navigation in Opera.

    I don't think the loss of accessibility and functionality in this navigation layout is worth the design of the navigation set up which I don't even think looks that great.
    I'd probably prefer a drop down menu even and I don't like those

    While the main navigation links are accessible and can be used only that part is accessible.

    In order for the ENTIRE menu to be considered accessible you would need to be able to get to all of the links WITHOUT going to another page to get to the sub navigation.
