I have my Personal Home Page at http://www.geocities.com/kapilb which I wish to promote as much as possiable. But since it's a personal one...I am not willing to spend money on it.

Also I am a member of Link Exchange and also the Indian Software Guru Webring.

What other elements would help me tell more people about my page.

It has a mission to teach everyone to make their pages on the Web fast and easy.

You have a lot of competition -- there are dozens of commercial sites (like this one) related to web design that have marketing budgets.

REMEMBER the old saying: "To make money you have to spend money" the same goes for getting noticed, kind of. To get noticed you have spend time. Ok other then the spending part they have nothing the same but make the most out of your time, there is no point in random messaging people, it gets them pissed off. So I would say start spend some time and find a good way to get your name out there.
