Why is my email presented as my username?

I don't know if I did something wrong or not when I registered as a new user but my login and posts show my email address instead of the user name I entered when I registered.

Can anyone tell me what I may have done wrong? My username should be ctutt NOT my email address. I sure hope my email doesn't get trashed because of this.

Thanks, but if that's how it happened, they may have an error in their code because I used Google Autofill for everything except the fields it could/should not fill.

If you want to change your username you need to send a private message to a forum administrator (Sarah or Nicky). FYI, you only get one name change so make sure you chose a name you want because you can never change it again. Also, name changes are the lowest priority for administrators so be prepared for your name change to take a while to occur.

SitePoint doesn't allow multiple accounts even for name changes. Just ask an admin for a change and it will happen.

I guess someone telling you exactly how to solve the problem isn't considered helpful?
