We had a movie studio filming a couple scenes for the 2009 movie "The Express" here in Aurora yesterday. I would have snagged some pics (it's just a few minutes from me on foot), but security was tighter than a White House dinner reception.

That is too bad. Watching movie production is fun, and very eyeopening as well. I was once in New Orleans when they did a scene there, and it had to be repeated over and over. We were bystanders and being filmed also, but it got stale fast, the cheering sort of faded after a while.

It was supposed to be a parade at Mardi Gras.

I have a degree now. Last day of anything academic in college. I'm so relieved (not happy yet, don't know what the result is). I still have to sit through everyone else's presentations, but after that, we be gettin' hammered!

Ever sat in a sail boot out in the open ocean and no wind, no waves, just sun beating down, too little diesel left to use it. Keeping reserves just in case you need it?

It can get mighty hard on you. And then the night: You are tired from doing nothing all day, and there you sit.

I have made the page look brighter, but still working in the red too, it will need some work I think.

I think generally that coders need to learn more about colour and its use. It's probably one of the most underestimated elements in web design.

I think I will collate some resources for a post elsewhere.

I was thinking of writing some TUTs on colors. Did one already. Colors are complex, but you can start out by just following a few guidelines. If you only remember contrast first, then you are half there within the context of site design.
