    Did someone change the PHP bbcode tag?

    Some time in the last week or two, the [php] bbcode tag started rendering differently. All PHP code samples now start with a space, even if the code begins right up against the tag. Code no longer lines up nice and neatly. I prefer the old PHP highlighting to the new, and it's a lot shorter to type [php]

    PHP Code:
    echo "Hello World";
    //note the space above

    beautified code

    Are you referring to the 2 ways to wrap code?
    The icon [PHP] way
    PHP Code:
    <?php
    phpinfo
    ();
    ?>
    and the dropdown select &#91;HIGHLIGHT="PHP"] way
    Code PHP:
    <?php
    phpinfo();
    ?>
    I don't see any starting spaces.

    No, I meant the [php] tag you used for the first example. I totally forgot to mention that this appears in Internet Explorer 7 but not Firefox. I don't use Firefox at work, they'd flog me

    Here's a screenshot for you:

    space

    Yes, it's there for IE 6 too. I'm not a CSS guru by any means, but I wonder if it has something to do with the pre tag's style:
    HTML Code:
    <pre class="alt2" dir="ltr" style="
    		margin: 0px;
    		padding: 6px;
    		border: 1px inset;
    		width: 480px;
    		height: 66px;
    		text-align: left;
    		overflow: auto"><code style="white-space:nowrap">

    I did make a recent edit to let code examples flow 100&#37; width, except in IE where it's broken and so uses a CSS hack to prevent that. I also implemented the new HIGHLIGHT tag.

    As part of that I had to modify the templates for all code output, and so It's possible that the default PHP output was affected inadvertently - I'll check it out next week.
