XML Data Is Not Properly Showing

I have generated XML file through following code

The XML Validator returns: Element type "br" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</br>".

My guess: use <br/>

you can do a string replace to change all existing <br> to <br />

$themessage = str_replace('<br>', '<br />', $themessage);
$themessage = str_replace('&lt;br&gt;', '&lt;br /&gt;', $themessage);

it seems your whole file is following the old html way. Make them xhtml way, will work better, like <br> should be <br />, <table width=740 should be <table width="740", etc.
