JS drop down menu - Safari is getting on my nerves!!
I'm using this little script for a feature on a website:
(important: the ONCLICK version!)
It works fine in FF and IE on Windows, but Safari (Mac) causes problems (as always).
When I click on the text link the layer only shows quickly and then hides again. However, when I click on the padding area of the link (and not on the text directly) it works fine.
Does anybody have an idea what could cause this problem and how I could get rid of it?

Do you have an example of the page you are using yourself? It would be more useful than trying to replicate what you've done first.
Safari works best with scripts without browser detection (object based or not) because people still writing code like that tend not to know about browsers other than IE 5 and Natscape 4Hello World
