Well i was a bit disappointed with the content
The good points were the interview with ulats and the forum signature spotlight.
I was thinking back to vinnie's recent custom title which parodied Hawks.
if you didn't catch it , it was: kicking names and taking a**
made me howl with laughter , he got ya there Hawk
so....perhaps pick the best of them for the next issue...but it's such a minor thing probably can't be capitalised on for the newsletter.

I guess that stresses my point, these custom titles are often over looked

I can't say I noticed a big difference either. But I did notice Vinnie's CT, thought it was quite funny.

This is the first one I've actually missed. And I'm subscribed to all of them. On occasion they'll end up in my spam folder, but that's just Yahoo being... well, a bunch of yahoos.

Nice interview with brothercake this month... I was starting to think the same as him recently about the whole social networking thing.. I just feel like it's a waste of time.

Tell me, are you having a senior moment HAWK, or else some spammer got his posts deleted?

I'm viewing the new community crier #147 in thunderbird, (win XP, sp2) it shows the apostrophes in this link text thus... Whatâ?™s New? SitePointâ?™s Front Page Redesign
I see this fairly frequently where an apostrophe is displayed on screen as â?™, and have tried Googling â?™ to see what the character encoding problem is, but get no hits from that character string.. I presume it is a character set issue, but would love to see an explanation, perhaps here and in the next Sitepoint Community Crier?
My default character encoding for incoming and outgoing mail in thunderbird is utf-8 BTW.
If I open it in firefox/opera the apostrophes display fine ...

Thanks for your feedback Colin.
This thread is over a year old and was actually intended for the old Crier.
Your best bet would be to PM chris_fuel who is responsible for the new version.UX Mastery - A community exclusively for UXers

I pm'd Chris on July 29th, who hasn't replied yet, Aug 6th... I also notice â?™ appearing instead of a ' today, this time in a sitepoint forum advert, I was using Ubuntu as OS on an eepc and ff as my browser..
