You're php guru, you should now

Maybe read the contents of the page and use regular expressions to parse it.

It's not just a simple matter of "getting the thumbnail"

They get the thumbnail while they are encoding the video.

    Something like http://www.on2.com/products/flix/engine/

That software though, is expensive... like $3000+/year ... I just got done setting up a site to use it (www.airshowbuzz.com ... and dont look at me if you look at the source, i just built the video module, the whole site is built badly code-wise...)

Basically, its a linux CLI program along with a php library for it...you just run it from php giving it the source file (mpg, avi, flv ... etc) and it converts them to FLVs, and if you specify, it creates thumbnails.

I have yet to see any other server-side setup that does a decent job at all, so you don't have many options...

okey. just thank you so much.
I just having more small question.
So how they can hack flv download link from many site?

    ex:
    http://www.music.com/video/?channel=...&clipid=877726

    And here is result:

    mms://a1313.v16544a.c16544.g.vm.akamaistream.net/7/1313/16544/v001/roomediaco1.download.akamai.com/16544/wm.roomedia/877/877726_300.wmv?clipId=877726&channel=Music+Videos& category=Music&site=musicdotcomg6%2fportal

So, i just writing small script to retrieve playing url from flash file
example: youtube ( so simple ) . But with some other sites, i don't know how to retrieve this link ( do it with PHP )

    best regards
