Sara, nobody looked at you strangely while you took those pictures? I was afraid of some old lady calling Homeland Security on me for "suspicious behavior".
They say, "Practice makes perfect," yet they also say, "Nobody's perfect". I don't get it.
Well, the first fruit stand I went to, the owner started speaking to me really fast in french and when i asked him to repeat himself and slow down so i could understand he looked annoyed so I wandered off. The next fruit stand I went to I asked him if he minded if I took pictures and he told me to please go ahead and fed me cherries for the 10 minutes I was there![]()
Sara

That is how it is Sara_ -- some people are friendly, some bite your head off. It can get touchy when you have a camera in hand, a lot of people do not like having strangers take a picture of them or their goods. Asking always is best. Were the cherries good?
Here is a part of our breakfast this morning, peaches, raspberries and frozen yogurt on top, touch of cinnamon sprinkled over it.

I like to see more for sure. I am a real sucker for cats, small big, whatever, just love them.
Oh, and I forgot to post this one, that is the bread that went along with the fruit, I made it yesterday. It also contains fruit: Raisins, Citron, and the stripe in there is marzipan, made from almonds.

Oh, and here's one more - a recent shot:
and they tell me he doesn't know what a camera is!

That bread looks delicious!
Marzipan eh? You know what's up Datura.
I have such a huge weakness for anything with marzipan. We have a bunch of old Italian bakeries in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn (down 2 neighborhoods from me in Park Slope) where I can get marzipan cookies that are basically all marzipan with only pine nuts/pinolis in them, made by some old Italian guy who has been making them the same way his grandmother taught him.
Sometimes it is the simple things, y'know? I think I need to go on a cookie run now.

Haha! Nice, Shaun. :P
This basket was sitting as-is on one of the circular tables at my work. The light coming through the windows against the cheap red plastic gave a nice red shadow against the table, and the contrast and composition was just lovely. I rarely get perfectly arranged shots like this. I think I cut off the bottom a bit too much though - oh well. It's still quite pretty.(It would work well as a "red" challenge too, I think...)
