    Unhappy Domain Rookie

I am new to the domain world. I purchased several domains in regards to Biofuel and space travel. The domains are not developed and I need to get rid of them for my lack of knowledge and funds to develope them. Any serious suggestions ? Of Course I would like to make a few dollars in the process.

If you think they are worth something by themselves (good names), you can try selling them in an auction either at the sitepoint marketplace, or sedo.com (it's popular).

If your domain names are REALLY GOOD you might try contacting companies in the industry that might be interested in the domains.

What you're wanting to do is brainstorm for every potential customer who'd be interested in the names you've registered (energy companies, scientific research companies, privateley funded research & exploration companies, entrepreneurs, hobbyists...).

Then you'd want to contact Sales/Marketing and Top Management (the decision makers).

If the names are really good, and you're not asking an outrageous price, you might get some takers. Also, if the domains are worth waiting for a buyer, you can hang onto them for less than $10 each per year.

If you want to share the names (here or by PM) I might have some ideas for your brainstorm.

    Hope that helps.

If they are parked at Sedo.com - what sort of traffic are they receiving and if so - are you generating any parked revenue?

I've found a few domain names over the past six months that have actually already paid themselves off and should double or triple my return while waiting to be developed or found by a suitable buyer.

I wrote a domain parking article that may be of use to you.

Yes, that's how you deal with domains. But don't forget there are some other forums especially for domains that you can talk, sell and buy.

Thank you for your advice. My Biofuel domains have paid for themselves but now I am looking to make some money on them.
