    Table not picking up css?

    No i have not done the layout with tables

    I have a table within a couple of divs, within the tabular data i need a h1 and p tags to pick up the same style of the div that its in.

    Its not for some reason...

    div 1 has a style on the h1 tag
    table within div1 has an id and the same style as above. But all that changes is the colour, the psyical size of the text is bigger.

    I need it to be all the same size regardless of whether its in a table or not.

    I cannot figure it out, i have done a path all the way back to the first div etc within the css no good.

    Surly all h1 tags within div1 should be the same, how come the table is changing it...apart from the colour?

    I'm confused.

    It probably comes down to the fact that you have to be a bit more specific in your css (specificity). Have you defined new styles for the <p> and <h1> inside your table.

    Maybe something like #tableID H1 {styles here} and #tableID p {styles here}

    As Joe said, showing us the page would probably get you more help :-)

    Thanks guys, sorry for the delay being trying my hardest to figure it out.

    This is a blumin nightmare, it must be the asp code which is changing the style for some reason.

    Here is a page without the asp code for the cms, h1 tag in a table fine, like the other h1 tags.

    However a table in this page goes all funny and the h1 tags are larger than they should be.

    God knows whats going on!
