Lightbulb Suckerfish menu with dynamic width for submenus?

There is this site http://www.marienlyst.dk that has a dropdown menu and I would like it implemented using suckerfish dropdowns instead ...

Problem is that I could never somehow duplicate the way it dynamically floats well with the third level menu, some menu texts are too long so it stretches the whole layer and now my third level is out of place ... suckerfish seems to work well with fixed submenu widths...

Is it possible for a non-fixed width of an item to work with suckerfish?

    Hi,

Its very difficult to get a fluid width submenu working because the submenus always want to be controlled by the parent lists width which could be narrower than you need for the submenus.

When you apply a fixed width to the submenu you can force it to be bigger than it should be but when you have a fluid width the text will want to wrap at the parents lists own width.

Here is an example that will only work on modern browsers but does need to be tweaked for ie and mozilla separately.

You may be able to work with it

that works real nice! I'll see if I can dissect it and see what'll work for my menu.

    Thanks!
