Newbie silly question 0n Web Layout using Dreamweaver

    I just install the CreLoaded.

I looked at the directory, it's full of .php files

I used Dreamweaver to edit html webpage page before, i.e. insert photos, delete image, insert text, insert tables, get an overview of webpage. switch code <-> design... fun!

Now with php.. how to do the same like the above. I use dreamweaver
and open the index.php.. It's blank... no image at all... However, when I
FTP these php files to server. Everything just popped up!

I would like to edit the layout like the way I edit HTML but how
    to do so on php?

You will want to set up a http server such as Apache on your machine first, together with a MySQL database and PHP itself, and then configure your instance of Dreamweaver in order to be able to run dynamically generated pages with the .php extension off-line. There are useful tutorials, articles and forum topics here on SitePoint. Good luck.
Be not too sure that none of the old magic endures...
