capture audio and video problem
hi all
I recently attended an interview in php.They asked a question like
How to capture audio and video in php?
is it possible in php? or any softwares available ?
anybody done this using php? please help me

Did the person giving the interview actually know what PHP is designed to be used for ??

Hi
It is possible with PHP but not as an out-of-the-box solution. You would need a library such as FFmpeg.
I think that the person interviewing you was attempting to either get you to try and bluff your way through it or hasn't understood the purpose of PHP as Mandes said.Last edited by spikeZ; May 14, 2007 at 02:14.

i've never heard of FFmpeg being used as a "capture" tool, it converts one audio/video format to another. I don't see how you could expect php to capture audio/video like one would do in Adobe Premiere for example, given php's nature.
