    url encode problem

I'm trying to do a GET type server to server request between my Linux server running PHP and a Windows IIS server running asp. cURL/PHP has proven very useful in making the communication easy, but I am having a problem with urlencoding as the asp end doesn't appear to like URI's encoded with PHP's urlencode. I have found that it appears to want the minimum amount of encoding and so far has been happy if I just translate space into '+'. Now I have a need to pass a parameter called ExpiryDate which takes a value of mm/yy but when I try and encode the '/' sign as the %2F, the asp site barf's.

Can anyone tell me what asp's Server.URLEncode whould turn the '/' character into? I don't have an asp server handy to try it on.

    TIA,
    Nick.

Okay, I found this site http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/demos/....UrlEncode.asp which allowed me to find out. Server.URLEncode also generates %2F, so the problem must be something else.

Sorry to post and answer my own question.

    Nick
