I'm currently using a Sony DSC-S950 digicam. I'm happy with it. It's pretty basic and it has everything I need. I don't really need a bulky, fancy camera.

I use a Nikon D70 and a Nikon N80 for film and use my Sigma lenses on both. I have a 28-80mm and a 100-300mm zoom. Of course I bought it just before all the new ones came out last summer so I have been lusting over the D80s
Hey same pinch..I use the same camera..Nikon has a great quality.. I love it!

my favorite cameras broke I owned two minolta x-370 and they are my absolute favorite to work with. otherwise I have a Sony ALpha. ANd My dream camera would be the first one to feature a full framed 3color ccd approach that the sigma cameras have been using but at a real 14mp not their idea of "14mp"
Please...Never describe anything to me using foo and bar.

"Better" can be subjective. Try looking up those cameras on Digital Photography Review (http://www.dpreview.com/) and see what you think will be the best for you.

I bouth the Sigma SD14 2 years ago and I want to get rid of it again! It's all good as long as I take pictures on ISO100 but everyhing above the camera produces images with weird color shifts.

Thinking now about the Canon 7D

I've decided that when I do get my first DSLR, I'll go for either Nikon D3000 or Canon EOS 450D. Don't know yet if I'm a Nikon or Canon guy.

It'll be used for hobby photography mainly since I doubt I'll be getting much work requiring photography.

    I see Sony.

I have a Canon Powershot A480,For a camera in this price bracket the quality of the photos this camera is able to take is very impressive. In my opinion if you are looking for a digital camera under 100 then this camera offers the best value for money on the market.

    Hey guys; a challenge.

Put all those wonderful cameras to work for this month's Photo Showcase thread.

ahem... Put your lenses where your mouth is. Or something.

I am ever so happily using my [still] newish Canon 5d MKII loaded with a Canon 24-105mm L lens.

I love it. It still surprises me with its image quality.

I've been using a Canon ES350D with 17-85mm lens for about a year and a half now. If I could make my choice again I would have gone for the equivalent Nikon. I've just not been happy with the focus on any of my pictures, it just doesn't have the wow factor I was hoping for.
