    Background image advice

    Hi People

Well I am not stuck on the coding part, I just need some input on how I will achieve this, right.

I have a gradient image with round corners
The image will be inserted within the main content area, which is percentage based
I need to image to expand and contract in contrast to the image

Any ideas on how I can achieve this would be appriciated.

    Thanks

    Hi,

You would have to cut the corners of this as small gifs... and place then accordingly, I posted a reply to a user some time back with a similar problem, take a look at it here, it should help you out and put you in the right direction

    Hope that helps

    Hi,

Basically, background-images cannot be stretched. But, you can allow more of a background to show through as the area expands.

Most people are using a variation of the sliding doors technique

Here's an example of my own that might give you some ideas on how you can make things work with background images..

    It's not an expanding bg-image - it's bg-images attached to different elements.
