Best method to send a newsletter

    Hello,

Which is the best method to send a newsletter and how can I avoid that the IP goes on a blacklist? I used to send newsletters with a for loop but the IP got on a several blacklists and my newsletter appeared in "bulk" (yahoo) or "spam" (gmail).

    Thanks.

Hmm, Getresponse.com isn't free and I can't add my own e-mail addresses. So I guess I'll stick to my php code.

php was not designed to mas email, you will have problems if you are sending a large amount of emails. best bet to use mysql and do so many emails per page, with next links to send the next batch.
success is not by chance, it is by choice.

Use a mailing system that allows batch sending - if you hit a mail server with lots of the same email in a short amount of time, it often triggers the servers anti spam mechanism.

You could use PHP SwiftMailer (Google) to send the mail rather than using the PHP mail() function in a for loop.

regarding the content try to make your newsletter appear not so spammy, maybe take a look at existing company newsletters that achieve this.

and ofcourse make sure your email is not unsolicited and you don't give people a legitimate reason to blacklist your mail server IP.
